Survey CAD Technician

Overview

Bannister Engineering is seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician for our Mansfield, Texas office. The position will prepare boundary, topographic, construction, and other survey-related drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This is a survey-production position requiring the ability to interpret field data, deeds, plats, easements, title information, and surveyor markups.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Preparing survey-related documents including boundary surveys, title surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, easements, right-of-way exhibits, and topographic surveys.

· Conducting deed, title, and public record research.

· Preparing legal descriptions (metes and bounds).

· Performing CAD drafting and mapping.

· Coordinating survey projects from start to finish.

· Scheduling and supervising survey crews when appropriate.

· Reviewing survey deliverables for quality and accuracy.

· Assisting with project budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.

· Attending project meetings and occasional site visits.

· Assisting with proposal preparation, marketing efforts, and other business development activities.

· Providing technical support to engineering and design teams, including quality control reviews, research, drafting assistance, and project coordination.

· Performing general administrative and office support tasks as needed.

Field Responsibilities

While this position is primarily office-based, candidates should be willing and able to assist with field surveying and construction staking when project demands require.

Qualifications

· 5 Years Experience as a Survey CAD Technician or in a similar surveying role.

· Proficiency with Civil 3D.

· Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus.

· Experience preparing survey deliverables and legal descriptions.

· Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Willingness to perform occasional field work when needed.

· Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
