Banner Witcoff, a recognized leader in the practice of intellectual property law, is seeking first year law students to work in its Washington, DC office as Summer Associates for the summer of 2026.
As a Summer Associate, the student will assist in a variety of legal assignments including intellectual property counseling and opinion work, patent prosecution, and intellectual property litigation-related matters.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of academic achievement, excellent interpersonal skills, a scientific or engineering degree, and be eligible to take the Patent Bar Exam. Candidates with technical backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Computer Engineering degrees. The salary for this summer clerkship role is $4,134.00 weekly.
