Role Type: Store Manager
Reports To: District Manager
Role Purpose
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance of one store, including sales results, customer experience, team development, and operational execution. This role leads the entire store team and is accountable for delivering consistent business results.
Core Responsibilities
1. Store Performance Ownership
- Drives achievement of sales, loyalty, and service goals
- Analyzes store performance and adjusts priorities as needed
- Leads the team to deliver strong daily and weekly results
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Recruits, trains, and develops store team members
- Builds a positive, accountable team culture
- Coaches Assistant Managers and Sales Leaders
- Identifies and develops future leaders
3. Customer Experience Leadership
- Ensures the store delivers consistent, high-quality customer experience
- Reinforces service expectations and selling behaviors
- Addresses and resolves customer concerns when needed
4. Operational & Visual Standards
- Ensures store standards are consistently met in operations and merchandising
- Maintains an organized, safe, and well-presented environment
- Oversees inventory processes and backroom organization
5. Business & Administrative Management
- Manages scheduling, payroll, and labor alignment
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
What Success Looks Like (Evaluation Focus)
- Store meets or exceeds sales and service targets
- Team is well-trained, productive, and engaged
- Store standards are consistently maintained
- Turnover is managed and talent is developed
- Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability
- Three or more years of retail management experience.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and planning skills as well as effective management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with technology required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; including holidays, evenings and weekends.
- Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Computer-based training expertise
