The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging is Hiring! *Full Time and Per Diem Opportunities Available*
The MSK Division is rapidly expanding and driven by advanced imaging diagnostics, with newly installed, state of the art MRI and CT systems, and ultrasound with an MSK certified sonographer. MSK performs fluoroscopy and ultrasound guided procedures including arthrograms for collegiate athletes and other patients. Weekend ED and inpatient coverage is largely performed virtually from a home workstation with additional possible virtual days during the week as well.
The MSK division works to support the UArizona Athletic Association. Working closely with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, to read their professional and UArizona MRI and CT studies. MSK collaborates with Banner University Medicine-Tucson orthopedic surgeons and outside orthopedic surgeons, as well as the University of Arizona sports medicine doctors.
The clinical case load serves as an excellent resource for our training programs, which include a Diagnostic Radiology residency and a fellowship training program in MSK. The Department of Medical Imaging has a strong tradition of imaging research, with 10 research faculty and many cross-appointed faculty in Biomedical Imaging, 9 diagnostic residents per year, Optical Physics, Biochemistry and Chemistry and 14,000 sq. ft. of dedicated research space in the Department, providing a fertile ground for translational research.

- Contribute to a strong academic division that provides comprehensive clinical service with a spirit of innovation as an engine for growth, value, and service.
- Participate in weekday clinical work and one in four or one in five weekday/weekend call coverage while ensuring the delivery of timely, high-quality clinical care.
- Collaborate with staff and other physicians to improve service and quality for the betterment of our patients.
- Provide instruction for the Residency, Fellowship and Medical Student educational programs by preparing and administering lectures and reviewing cases.
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences, conferring with other services concerning issues affecting Medical Imaging.
- Support innovative research and serve as a willing collaborator with clinical and translational researchers.

- Weekends are virtual – weekend work is usually done from home.
- One academic day per week
- One virtual day a week, when possible which is majority of the time.
