Electrician (Journeyman or Apprentice) — Banner Electric
Plymouth, IN | Full-Time | $20–$35/hr base
Banner Electric has served northern Indiana since 1963 — residential, commercial, and light-industrial service work, plus generators, battery backup, and EV chargers. We're hiring electricians at both the Journeyman and Apprentice levels.
This is a performance-based role. We tell you what "great" looks like, we measure it, and we pay for it.
What You'll Own in Year One
- Run your own work. Scope it, complete it to code, close it out clean.
- Score 4.8 on customer satisfaction. Communication, cleanliness, professionalism.
- Hit 80% billable utilization. Plan the job, load the truck right, stay on task.
- Show up on time. To the shop, to the customer, and with your paperwork.
- Stay above the line. No blaming, complaining, or defending. We own it and fix it.
What You'll Do
- Service and install work: panel changes, troubleshooting, remodels, code corrections
- Generator, battery backup, and EV charger installs
- Work directly with customers on-site and document jobs cleanly for the office
What We're Looking For
Pay is based on experience and skill — $20/hr on the apprentice end, up to $35/hr for a licensed Journeyman running work independently.
Journeyman: Valid license, 4 years running work independently, clean driving record.
Apprentice: 0–3 years experience or trade school, coachable, willing to complete an apprenticeship.
Both: Reliable transportation to our Plymouth shop, able to lift 50 lbs and work ladders/attics/crawlspaces, pass background and drug screen.
