Banner Christian is a dynamic K4-12 school located in Chesterfield, Virginia. Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach

We are seeking a Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment. The coach will build a competitive program while emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and character development.

This position requires:

• A dynamic faith in Christ and a strong love for students that draws them closer to God through example and discipleship
• The ability to set a Christian example while coaching
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Planning and conducting practices and skill development sessions
• Coaching matches and managing rotations and in-game strategy
• Developing individual and team performance
• Promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork
• Communicating effectively with players, parents, and administration
• Ensuring compliance with school and conference policies
• Transportation to all games and practices (or to school to ride the bus).
• The ability to work and cooperate with students, parents, faculty, and staff
• Effective communication with students, parents, faculty, and staff
• Adherence to and enforcement of school policies and practices; functioning as a team player
• A background check
• Assistance with handing out and collecting team uniforms
• Assistance with recording game results into MaxPreps
• Willing to report home game results to the Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper

Schedule Requirements:

Flexible schedule required, including regular evening and weekend hours for practices, matches, and tournaments.

Qualifications:

• Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred (volleyball experience strongly preferred)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to mentor student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment
• Commitment to the mission and values of Banner Christian School
• Successful completion of a background check is required

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:

• High School Degree required
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Coaching certifications or volleyball-specific training
