Position Summary
The Commercial Lender is responsible for developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of commercial loan and deposit relationships. This position identifies lending opportunities, analyzes financial information, structures credit requests, and provides exceptional service to business customers while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business customers and prospects.
- Generate new commercial loan and deposit opportunities through business development and community involvement.
- Interview loan applicants and collect financial information needed for credit analysis.
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends to assess creditworthiness.
- Structure commercial loan requests and prepare credit presentations for approval.
- Monitor existing loan relationships to ensure ongoing credit quality and compliance with loan covenants.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for treasury management, deposit accounts, and other bank products and services.
- Conduct annual reviews, renewals, and ongoing portfolio maintenance.
- Manage delinquent accounts and work with customers to resolve credit concerns when necessary.
- Ensure all loan documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state banking regulations, internal policies, and lending procedures.
- Participate in community and business development activities to enhance the bank's visibility and reputation.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial lending or related banking experience.
- Knowledge of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, and loan documentation.
- Experience developing and managing business relationships.

Pay: $62,936.52 - $100,000.00 per year
