Scope of Job
The purpose of this position is to work as a member of the BankWest sales team in building and solidifying customer relationships with the bank. To accomplish this, the incumbent will serve the personal financial needs of new and existing customers by providing manufactured housing chattel only residential loans mortgage products and by making referrals to insurance, investments, trust services and other internal banking departments. This position is deadline driven.
Incumbent will be expected to work with dealers, Realtors, applicants, sales staff, and production staff. The majority of contact in this position is by telephone, fax or computer/email.
Primary Duties
Use the BankWest Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to develop financial relationships. Establish loan prospects through developing internal referral networks. Actively cross-sell and refer bank, trust, brokerage, and insurance to existing and prospective new customers. Attend sales meetings as requested/scheduled. Complete documentation for referrals made and received through Connections.
Originate loans by thoroughly understanding residential manufactured housing loan product and programs. Clearly and thoroughly understand current pricing practices on manufactured housing loans. Prepare file for processing. Clearly communicate your recommendations and any additional information which will assist in final loan approval. Coordinate with processing to assure all conditions of loan approval are met prior to closing. Timely deny customers whose verifications or information obtained during processing result in them not presently qualifying for a loan. Stay in contact with dealers and referral sources as applicable.
Responsible for meeting annual productivity goal. Use customer service and sales ability, influencing qualifying customer to choose BankWest. Using verifications and information collected during processing, analyze financial information, verifying all underwriting conditions are met. Clearly communicate your recommendations both verbally and in writing to bank management and the customer. Assure loan documents are ordered for loans that are cleared to close and final funding occurs after home delivery. Respond to prospect's general inquiries regarding loan requirements and underwriting guidelines.
Enhance customer relationships by providing ongoing assistance after loans are closed. Assist customers with calls and requests.
Develop and maintain external referral relationships to develop a prospective customer list. Through ongoing sales and marketing efforts, work with dealers, park owners, Realtors, builders, bankers, and other networking sources that may help enhance the list of prospects for residential manufactured home loans.
Assist as needed with processing and closing activities.
Secondary Duties
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization. Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience (The minimum qualifications for internal/external applicants)
2 years' experience in related field.
Employment is contingent upon meeting all NMLS requirements for licensing on an ongoing basis.
