General Position Statement:
The position is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting external reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEC reporting, Call Reports, and Y-9 filings, as well as a strong understanding of banking regulations and financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file SEC reports (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Assist/prepare Call Reports (FFIEC 041) and ensure accuracy in regulatory submissions.
- Assist/prepare the FR Y-9C and FR Y-9LP reports for bank holding companies.
- Work with Internal Audit to maintain compliance with SOX and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with banking regulations.
- Stay updated on new FASB, SEC, and regulatory guidance that may impact financial reporting and provide timely updates to management of all changes to SEC rules and other SEC requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and regulators for exams, audits, and quarterly reviews.
- Work closely with internal departments (Accounting, Risk, Treasury, etc.) to gather necessary data for reporting.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects, research, and analysis as needed.
- Work with the Disclosure Committee to complete disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with all SEC reporting requirements.
- Provide timely updates to management of all changes to SEC rules and regulations and ensure needed changes are implemented.
- Support the Investor Relations function.
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including account reconciliations.
- Participate in other projects as required.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including by not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adheres to the bank’s standard of conduct.
- Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
- Make referrals to the Mortgage Dept. and Wealth Management.
- Perform other duties as requested
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
- CPA with banking experience preferred
- Five (5) or more years of experience with exposure to SEC and GAAP reporting requirements, including drafting required disclosures
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- An excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations is required, combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
