Job Description:
We are seeking a Finishing Machine Operator (2nd/3rd Shift) to join our team You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.
2nd shift: 3p-11p, Mon-Fri
3rd shift: 11p-7a, Sun-Thur
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment at all times.
- Set-up and operate rotary die cutter in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Mount paper rolls and take away completed product.
- Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks and enters Quality non-conformances into system.
- Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation
- Sets-up and operates other equipment when required
- Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
- Trains "helpers" and new employees as required.
- Assists with examining product when needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good visual acuity and color vision
- Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on any shift (day or night/12 hour shifts)
- Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules.
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
