Finishing Machine Operator 2nd & 3rd Shift

Job Description:

We are seeking a Finishing Machine Operator (2nd/3rd Shift) to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.

2nd shift: 3p-11p, Mon-Fri

3rd shift: 11p-7a, Sun-Thur

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
• Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment at all times.
• Set-up and operate rotary die cutter in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Mount paper rolls and take away completed product.
• Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks and enters Quality non-conformances into system.
• Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation
• Sets-up and operates other equipment when required
• Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
• Trains “helpers” and new employees as required.
• Assists with examining product when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned.

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
• Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good visual acuity and color vision
• Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on any shift (day or night/12 hour shifts)
• Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules.
