Job Summary:
Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential agricultural and business customers to develop a compliant loan portfolio that creates strong quality credit relationships for BankNorth.
This role requires high integrity, trust, and confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiate terms and structure loan financing within lending limits and present credits for approval to appropriate authority levels as required
- Maintain the loan portfolio with sound documentation and minimal compliance exceptions
- Develop new business
- Collect delinquent accounts in a timely manner following bank policies and procedures
- Maximize bank profitability through pricing of new loan originations, fee income, and selling of all bank products and services
- Maintain customer conversations and proprietary bank information confidentiality
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with various products, services, and delivery systems
- Deliver consistent, superior customer service according to bank standards
- Active involvement in community and civic organizations to represent BankNorth professionally
- Participate in training and meetings related to the position
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follow established opening and closing procedures
- Complete required compliance and software training

- Five or more years as a commercial lender and/or ag lender required
