The HR Assistant performs varied clerical functions and related general office duties that require the use of work methods and procedures in the area of personnel/ payroll administration. These responsibilities may differ daily, depending on business demand.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with administering employee policies.
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
  • Performs a wide range of duties related to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
  • Coordinate and support employee engagement events and company functions, including planning logistics, managing vendor communication, tracking RSVPs, and assisting with setup and breakdown.
  • Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, department heads, public and private agencies and all BSC visitors.
  • Provides clerical and operational support to other HR staff.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong communication skills
  • General knowledge of human resource programs, regulations and guidelines
  • Knowledge and experience with administrative and clerical processes and procedures
  • Strong computer, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Additional Considerations:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Degree in related field
  • Experience with HRIS systems

Schedule: 

 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
