What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Banking Associate position at Bank of Washington?
Our Electronic Banking Associates support the daily operations of the bank’s Electronic Banking Department. This position is responsible for processing electronic transactions including wires, ACH activity, and dispute resolution. In addition to providing ongoing maintenance and support for online and mobile banking services. This position also plays a key role in onboarding and supporting Cash Management customers and serves as a resource for internal employees regarding electronic banking products and processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Bank policies and procedures as well as all laws, rules and regulations
- Process incoming and outgoing domestic wire transfers in accordance with bank policy, regulatory requirements, and established timelines.
- Process incoming and outgoing ACH transactions, including returns, corrections, and file submissions.
- Review, research, and resolve ACH and card-related disputes in compliance with federal regulations (Reg E, NACHA rules, etc.).
- Assist in the setup, implementation, and ongoing support of Cash Management services such as ACH Origination, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, wire templates, and other treasury tools.
- Provide assistance and guidance to other employees with customer related issues, including but not limited to online and mobile banking, debit cards, ACH origination, wire transfers, remote deposit capture, positive pay or ATMs.
- Provide quality service via telephone and email, ensuring that customers’ needs are met by listening and analyzing problems, determining the approach and/or solution and communicating resolutions to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Capable to work flexible hours, could include evening and some weekends
Preferred Education, Experience, Technical Knowledge, and Skills:
- Easily adapt to change
- Ability to multitask proficiently
- Previous banking experience
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and current technology methods
- Demonstrate professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, and communication
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Ability to adjust to frequent changes in workload and meet deadlines
- Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to internal and external customers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
