Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 Years Relevant Experience
- Experience in commercial lending with a focus on small business loans.
- Proven experience in banking, financial services, or a similar industry, with a strong background in business development and lending.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, including in financial planning, and in community engagement.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with a track record of driving financial growth and operational excellence.
- Ability to build and maintain strong community relationships.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with new and existing customers to expand the branch's portfolio of loans, deposits, and other financial products.
- Actively pursue opportunities for commercial lending, with a focus on small business clients, to strengthen the bank's presence in the local market.
- Collaborate with other bank leaders to implement strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and grow market share.
- Partner with the Banking Manager to ensure that relationships drive deposit growth and long-term client retention
- Collaborate with internal business partners, including SBA, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and other specialized teams.
- Act as the face of the branch in the community by participating in local events, engaging with civic organizations, and building partnerships with community leaders.
- Promote the bank's mission and services as a trusted financial partner within the community.
- Proactively develop relationships with business owners, professionals, and centers of influence to expand the bank’s reach.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape the branch's annual budget, growth targets, and overall strategy.
- Manage the branch's P&L to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to make informed decisions and recommend improvements.
- Respond to Commercial Loan inquiries from customers and potential Loan customers.
- Evaluate Loan requests for viability e.g. financial statement and risk analysis. Generate Loan approval reports and Loan presentation packages. Communicate with customers on approval or denial of requests or modifications of requests. Negotiate rates and fees. Follow up on documentary deficiencies and on-going credit file maintenance. Close Loans.
- Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
- Foster a collaborative, goal-driven, and client-focused culture within the branch.
- Supervise the Banking Manager, providing guidance and support to align branch operations with strategic priorities.
- Ensure the branch provides a best-in-class client experience, focusing on relationship banking, personalized service, and proactive problem-solving
