Senior Financial Analyst

We have an opening for a Senior Financial Analyst and the position supports the CFO and senior management in financial planning, forecasting, capital strategy, and ALCO analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and modeling skills with a deep understanding of banking financials, capital management. Key skills include advanced financial modeling, data analysis, and proficiency with relevant software and financial statements.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

1. Perform annual budget, monthly variance analysis, quarterly forecasts and multi-year financial projections and evaluate current and future performance trajectory. Performs financial planning and analysis (FP&A) involving budget and other financial forecasting analyzing business performance, and making recommendations for performance improvements.

2. Manage the budget process by reviewing and explaining budget variances with responsible executives/senior managers

3. Support the CFO and Controller with monthly ALCO packages, including NIM, rate sensitivity, and liquidity analysis.

4. Prepare management and board – level financial reports summarizing profitability, liquidity, and capital metric.

5. Build and maintain dynamic financial models for loan and deposit growth, margin projections, and capital metrics.

6. Conduct yield and cost-of-funds analysis across market regions to inform deposit and funding strategy. This includes leading deposit analytics to support pricing strategy and modeling Asset-Liability-Management(ALM) strategies.

7. Contribute to capital planning, stress testing, and public-company readiness initiatives. Evaluate financial performance of the Bank’s various lines of business(LOB) and assist with decision making by synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risks, and preparing, analyzing, and reporting on financial results and key metrics.

8. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.

9. Perform liquidity planning and cash forecasting for the Bank

10. Forecast and manage liquidity needs through daily cast flow analysis, to support the bank’s daily operations and balance sheet strategy.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Accounting, MBA, CPA preferred.

2. 3-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, within a bank or financial institution.

3. Advanced Excel modeling skills; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or similar tools a plus, and banking working knowledge; and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

4. Competency in application of regulatory compliance rules and laws.

5. Demonstrated ability to read and analyze financial and procedural data and to recognize potential conflicts.

6. Ability to use knowledge, experience, discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems.

7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

8. Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs – i.e., MS Word, Excel, and familiarization with accounting programs.

9. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

 

The candidate will be subject to investigation through credit checks, reference checks, background checks and fingerprinting checks performed at the time permissible under relevant law.

 

Bilingual in Chinese prefer.
