The Business Intelligence (BI) Manager leads/oversees the development and implementation of data analytics projects to harness the power of data. Primary responsibilities include leading/overseeing the collection, storage, and analysis of data, generating and presenting data insights to business partners, as well as acting as a data steward in providing innovative ways to improve the bank’s Data and BI capabilities. The manager must exhibit excellent leadership competency, business acumen, communication skills, technical analysis, and programming skills. The manager will work with executives, business line management, business analysts, cross-functional partners, and vendors to design, develop, and deliver data products and/or analytics solutions to drive impactful business value.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Improves data intelligence and decision making by:
- Implementing business intelligence solutions by categorizing, extracting, transforming, and loading data; designing relational tables, advanced reporting, and dashboards; applying analysis and implementation tools; documenting solutions; trouble-shooting information systems and ensuring data integrity.
- Being accountable for transferring specific business issues and questions into appropriate and analytic designs/results; providing actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and forecasting; supporting strategic initiatives.
- Leading the development and implementation of a Management Information System (MIS) to collect, process, and analyze organizational data for better decision-making and improved business performance.
- Designing and automating key performance reports to improve operational efficiency and data transparency.
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of KPIs and advanced reporting tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Excel, Power BI, Abrigo Connect) to monitor portfolio health and drive continuous improvement.
- Managing vendor relationships and third-party data systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance in business intelligence operations.
- Developing an AI strategy to help automate data analysis, extract insights from unstructured data, and provide more accurate predictions and deeper insights.
- Serve as a visionary leader with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance client experience and optimize internal workflows.
Builds collaborative solutions by:
- Partnering with talented cross-functional teams to train and promote data literacy; foster a culture of growth, accountability, and data-informed decision-making; enabling organization-wide adaptation of analytics tools and execute upon a shared vision.
- Overseeing ongoing data processes; advise and co-build a scalable data infrastructure that supports the organization’s business strategy and augmented data analytics capabilities.
- Working with business partners to provide consulting data insights that will guide strategic initiatives and execution.
- Coaching and collaborating with members of the Executive and Management Team by providing guidance, support, and feedback.
Increases their business intelligence implementation job knowledge by:
Staying current on best practices in business intelligence and risk management; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, data science, finance, or engineering.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in modern bank-related data architecture and modeling.
- Proven experience with modern BI tools and platforms (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).

This position is located in an office environment with artificial lighting and controlled heating/air conditioning. The position includes prolonged periods of working on a computer and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The incumbent needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
