Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Regional Manager Commercial Banking to join our Walnut Creek Commercial Banking Office. This is a full-time position that requires both office-based and off-site (in person) visits to clients and prospective new relationships to the Bank. The Regional Manager Commercial Banking will manage a team of commercial lenders including directing the lenders’ sales activities, overseeing loan structuring and underwriting, and ensuring proactive relationship management. Target prospects have revenue of at least $10 million and C&I lending needs equal to or more than $1 million. Responsible for bottom line goals in their region.
Job Skill Level / Requirements
- Ability to skillfully manage a team of commercial lenders.
- Strong sales management skills.
- Excellent accounting knowledge (college coursework or equivalent work experience) as applied to credit underwriting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to accurately interpret and evaluate financial reporting documents, including cash flow, and balance sheet metrics (e.g. working capital, leverage, etc.) as it pertains to repayment sources.
- Understand the documentation of complex credits, including notes, business loan agreements, security agreements and title documents.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to quickly understand and communicate concepts both verbally and in written form.
Professional / Educational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and minimum 7 - 10 year’s relevant banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The hiring pay range for this position is $204,378 to $296,350. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
