As an Individual Contributor, this role serves as a senior technology leader responsible for aligning the organization’s business strategy with its technology landscape. This role ensures that the enterprise’s systems, applications, and technologies are designed and integrated to deliver efficiency, resiliency, and scalability, while supporting regulatory compliance, security, and strategic growth. This role provides a holistic view of the enterprise architecture and serves as a trusted advisor to executives, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience or certification(s) may be considered in lieu of degree.
Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, AWS/Azure Architect) preferred.
Level is dependent on years of experience and size/complexity of prior positions held. Minimum 10 years of experience in progressive IT roles, with at least 5 years in architecture or senior technology leadership.
Proven track record in developing and governing enterprise-wide architecture in complex organizations.
Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred
Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, data management, and security frameworks.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, data fabric, and digital platforms.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills to all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a business-oriented approach
Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and navigating ambiguity; adaptable and open to learning in dynamic environments
Proven ability to develop architecture blueprints, strategies, roadmaps, and visual communications

Advises executives on technology trends and investments that drive competitive advantage. Ensures IT portfolios align with business capabilities to eliminate redundancies and maximize value.
Enterprise Architecture Development
: Defines and maintains enterprise reference architectures, principles, and design standards. Creates architectural blueprints and models to guide systems and integration design. Supports modernization efforts including cloud adoption and digital platform initiatives.
Governance and Compliance Oversight
: Establishes architecture governance processes through forums such as the Architectural Review Board (ARB). Ensures compliance with internal controls, security policies, and external regulatory mandates. Assesses architecture maturity and recommends improvements.
Technology Evaluation and Leadership
: Evaluates emerging technologies for business impact and applicability. Leads proof-of-concept initiatives and provides architectural oversight across the delivery lifecycle. Advocates for best practices in security, performance, and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
: Acts as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment. Collaborates with solution architects and engineering teams to translate standards into project-level designs. Mentors junior architects and facilitates integration across applications, data, and infrastructure.
Operational Risk and Resilience
: Promotes reuse of platforms and services to improve efficiency. Contributes to disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Identifies risks in current architectures and recommends mitigation strategies.
