Customer Service/Teller Position Summary

Provides superior and quality customer service. Provides customers efficient and accurate transaction processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Always provide excellent customer services to customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Have sufficient knowledge about banking products and services and respond to all inquiries accordingly.
  • Improve customers’ banking experience with the bank by ensuring that the customers are attended to promptly and all their challenges are resolved without delay.
  • Ensure that all the bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with in the process of discharging duties.
  • Inform and suggest new banking products to customers.
  • Provide information to customers on their account status and account balances.
  • Open & update bank accounts according to laid down rules and guidelines.
  • Suggest effective ways through which the bank can promote its products and services and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Order checks for customers.
  • Aid all other members of staff in other departments of the bank by liaising with them through healthy interactions.
  • Establish and promote cordial relationship with customers, ensuring prompt attendance to their inquiries and solving their problems to grant them maximum satisfaction.
  • Ensure that customers’ confidential information is properly protected and only used for official purposes.
  • Be involved in performing some financial related and marketing transactions.
  • Channel complex customer complaints and challenges to the right quarters for effective resolution.
  • Continuously update skill by participating in professional trainings, go for courses as instructed by management and be willing to contribute acquired knowledge to the development of the back.
  • Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
  • Participate in branch opening and closing schedule including Saturday rotation schedule.
  • Balance cash drawer daily in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Assist with balancing vault and ATM.
  • Promote and support teamwork in the branch to ensure a positive overall customer experience.
  • Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
  • Maintain an awareness of current fraud alerts.
  • Must be able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner both in person and over the phone.
  • Promote and assist customer with basic questions regarding bank products and services.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25lbs of coins.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education certificate (GED)
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environment.
  • Must be able to work during bank hours of operation and Saturdays (rotation schedule)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong team player

Pre-employment background screening will be conducted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
