Bank of England Mortgage is looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Servicing Cashiering Specialist to join our servicing team.

You'll play an important role in the day-to-day servicing of our mortgage portfolio by processing borrower payments, balancing transactions, researching payment activity, and partnering with our servicing and accounting teams.

What You'll Do
As a Mortgage Servicing Cashiering Specialist, you'll help ensure borrower payments and other financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Process mortgage payments, payoffs, and other monetary and non-monetary transactions within the loan servicing system.
- Review and process payments received through multiple channels, including lockbox activity, customer requests, mail, internal bank requests, and external partners.
- Assist with payoff quotes and the posting of payoff funds.
- Complete daily cash balancing and manual reconciliations to ensure transactions are accurate and accounts are balanced.
- Research borrower payment histories and resolve payment discrepancies or account questions.
- Process applicable liquidation transactions, including charge-offs, write-offs, and proceeds.
- Work closely with Mortgage Servicing and Accounting to research transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure funds are applied correctly.
- Maintain accurate records and follow applicable regulatory requirements, bank policies, and servicing procedures.

You'll be a strong fit if you have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfort working with numbers and performing mathematical calculations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to research information, identify discrepancies, and independently work toward solutions.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn financial and mortgage servicing systems.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Even better if you have:
- Previous mortgage servicing, banking, financial services, payment processing, reconciliation, or related experience.
- Experience with Finastra or another mortgage loan servicing system.
- Knowledge of mortgage payment processing, payoff transactions, or loan reconciliation.
Mortgage-related experience is preferred, but we encourage candidates with relevant transferable experience to apply.
