Job Title: Secondary Market Mortgage Leader
Reports To: Bank President
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
The Secondary Market Mortgage Leader will perform a wide range of supervisory, administrative, and mortgage lending functions within the Bank of Clarendon network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Loan Origination/Pipeline Development (60%)
- Work with area Realtors, builders, attorneys, and other professionals to generate mortgage loan referrals and leads.
- Be actively involved in community activities to foster relationships and generate name recognition.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department and Office Managers to identify mortgages opportunities in each market.
- Meet with loan prospects to thoroughly review mortgage offerings.
- Develop specific mortgage options for each prospect, complete the loan origination paperwork, and work with the mortgage loan processor to timely complete and close each package.
- Develop rapport with other bank personnel, especially lenders, to develop an internal source of referrals.
Supervisory and Administrative (30%)
- Work with mortgage partners to develop programs that meet the bank’s needs.
- Maintain an updated mortgage pipeline report that can easily be shared with executive management on a frequent basis.
- Maintain performance reports related to closed loans that include premiums earned, interest rates, average days to close, and other pertinent information as requested by management.
- Develop department goals and be the catalyst to promote and achieve those goals.
- Create a work environment in which other originators and/or processors can remain motivated, well-trained, and can successfully develop their skills.
- Participate in required training and follow all regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Monitor, identify and report unusual and suspicious activities to the BSA Officer.
