Job Title: Operations Assistant
Reports To: Senior Operations Officer
Position Summary:
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and maintenance of customer records and files. Coordinates and performs activities in support of Bank Products and Bank Operations objectives. The Operations Assistant supports daily operational functions of the bank, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth back-office operations and providing administrative and technical support to other departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing card services – maintenance, changes, and provide internal and customer support.
- Perform CIF and account maintenance, scanning, and checkback procedures.
- Monitor various internal reports and accounts, check back and balance as necessary.
- Process ACH transactions, including incoming, origination, and all corresponding ACH duties.
- Provide support for electronic banking products, monitor reports, process changes, and perform checkback.
- Provide ongoing deposit operational support to all bank employees.
- Deliver excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Perform account research and provide support for customer inquiries.
- Participate in industry and professional associations and with peers to remain current on developments in the operations function of banking.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer account information; follow established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support compliance and security procedures, ensuring all operational activities adhere to bank policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Assist with implementation and testing of new systems, software, or procedural updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall bank operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Prior banking or financial institution experience preferred, particularly in operations, deposit services, or administrative support.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
