Special Education Teacher, Grades K-8 – Bangor Regional Therapeutic Day Program

Maine Special Education Certificate #282 or #286 Teacher Certification required
Highly qualified to instruct in multiple subject areas preferred
Ability to complete diagnostic testing required
Ability to write Individual Education Programs (IEPs) necessary
Experience developing and following behavior plans required
Experience teaching students with emotional/behavioral disabilities or Autism necessary
Ability to implement discrete trial instruction preferred
Willing to work collaboratively with colleagues necessary
Proficiency with technology is necessary
Willingness to contribute to the total funcioning of the school is required
Ability to use Safety Care Interventions necessary
Willingness to assist with activities of daily living may be necesssary
