Job Summary
We are seeking two passionate and dedicated Assistant Swimming Coaches to join our team. One will work with the team that lives and practices in Dover Foxcroft and the other will work with the team in Bangor. The ideal candidates will possess strong swimming skills and the ability to teach and inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels. As a Swimming Coach, you will be responsible for developing training programs, ensuring safety in the water, and fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and confidence in each swimmer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective swimming training programs tailored to the skill levels of individual swimmers.
- Conduct swim practices, providing instruction on techniques, strokes, and competitive strategies.
- Monitor swimmers' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere during practices and competitions.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to support student development.
- Organize swim meets, including warm-ups, events, and post-meet evaluations.
- Stay updated on swimming techniques, coaching strategies, and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience as a swimming coach or instructor is preferred.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide swimmers during training sessions.
