They will be customer-focused, skilled at mentoring engineers, and capable of setting high standards for service delivery while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Design, configure, and manage virtualized and cloud infrastructure, with an emphasis on reliability, automation, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments, OS configuration, and hardware support.

  • Manage and support enterprise tools such as JAMF, Intune, Active Directory, and IDaaS platforms, including SaaS integrations.
  • Advocate for and implement secure practices, including patching, hardening, and incident remediation.
  • Provide tier 2 and 3 support to internal helpdesk teams and end users as needed.
  • Monitor service metrics and team workload, identifying trends to drive performance and process optimization.
  • Oversee IT procurement, inventory, and budget, including licensing, invoicing, and vendor management.
  • Create and execute project plans for core IT services, coordinating timelines, resources, and communication with senior leadership.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls to standardize and improve systems engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with IT peers and leaders to support cross-functional initiatives and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Champion clear and effective written and verbal communication within the team and across the organization.
  • Identify areas of unnecessary complexity and implement strategic simplifications or automations.
  • Promote team wellbeing and morale by recognizing achievements and supporting professional development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and recommend innovative tools or practices to evolve the systems engineering function.
