What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Technician position at Bandit Industries, Inc.?
Job Summary:
The Process Technician is responsible for working with the Operations and Engineering teams to document and improve assembly processes including the creation of detailed instructions. They are expected to provide materials to be used as technical support and training of manufacturing personnel. They will monitor any changes to the manufacturing process and implement updates as necessary. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document work performed for required processes.
- Utilize Solid Edge and other programs to create detailed process instructions for assemblies and installations.
- Continuously monitor operations and update processes when necessary.
- Maintain documented process instructions through the ECR and MECR processes.
- Work with the different teams to verify accuracy and quality of documents.
- Plan documentation with Operations teams to meet production and schedule requirements.
- Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing protypes of new products, processes, or procedures.
- Design and create minor jigs, fixtures, etc. to aid in the assembly process.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid Edge or other design program experience
- Strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certifications or further education preferred but not required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in related position
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds
