Role Description

The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Itasca, IL. The Human Resource Manager, with a team of two direct reports, is responsible for managing all human resources functions, ie. talent attraction, hiring, training and development, employee engagement and performance, compensation and benefits, payroll processing and timekeeping for a rapidly growing company with 100 FTEs across multiple states. This position requires strong communication skills and strong attention to detail. Reports directly to the CFO.

In more detail, the duties/requirements will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead the HR functions, initiatives, and programs designed to attract world class talent. 
• Oversee existing HR personnel; develop, manage and mentor the team to strengthen department
• Ensure duties are properly delegated (internal and external) to ensure timeliness and compliance
• Create and improve controls and processes to enhance the overall HR operational workflow while maintaining strict compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with business leaders to identify current and future workforce needs, develop talent acquisition and succession strategies, and align staffing plans with organizational goals, growth initiatives, and operational demands.  
• Ensure HR systems and software are functioning optimally and lead future improvements and implementations.
• Partner with internal audit to ensure policies and controls are adhered to consistently and JSOX compliance
• Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures, maintain employee handbook. 
• Lead HR functions into new Jurisdictions (Canada) and ensure compliance and adherence to local laws and customs. Utilize and manage third party vendors as needed. 
• Partner with external resource and Banda Namco Japan to own local immigration and Visa processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Proven experience supporting organizational growth, workforce planning, and change management.
• Experience overseeing payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance audits.
• Demonstrated success developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Multi-state or retail industry HR experience.

Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 annually
