Job Summary

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of recreational programs designed to enhance the social, physical, and emotional well-being of the Agency clients, whom are adults with Developmental Disabilities.

Responsibilities

Ensure services are person centered, relevant and of high quality

Promote respect and personal choice in all client interactions

Monitor media sources for community activities, events, and special happenings

Maintain and distribute a monthly recreation calendar via internal communication, email and flyers

Regularly check in with Case Coordinators to align activities with client interests.

Assist clients in engaging in leisure and exercise activities that support their personal goals.

Follow up with staff and clients to confirm attendance and report any issues to Executive Director.

Coordinate logistics for BDP sponsored events (e.g. annual auction, picnic, holiday party) in collaboration with Fundraising Manager.

Identify and promote low cost or free community activities, both disability specific and inclusive.

Support clients with registration, transportation, and other logistics as needed.

Develop and distribute satisfaction surveys to assess client wellbeing and gather feedback from families or guardians.

Attend monthly Client Advisory Council meetings to stay informed and responsive to client needs.

Take and archive photos from BDP events and activities for documentation and engagement.

Looking for an organized, energetic and creative individual who can engage in group activities, participate in company events, and encourage active participation to enhance the quality of life for the people we support and serve.

Qualifications

Must meet requirements of Independent Living Advocate job description and have at least six months’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities (Strongly prefered). This is a part-time position, and reports to the Executive Director.

This position requires driving and may take place on Weekends.

Pay: $26.20 per hour
