Civil CAD Technician
Bamforth Engineers Surveyors is seeking a full time Civil CAD Technician that will assist civil engineers with site, utility and pavement designs primarily for federal and municipal clients. Anticipated start date is August 1st.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Using AutoCAD or Civil 3D to create 2D and 3D plans.
- Plotting topographic surveys using Civil 3D.
- Working with Civil 3D surfaces.
- Creating pipe networks in Civil 3D.
- Working with Civil 3D to create utility profiles.
- Redline markups.
Minimum Requirements:
- AutoCAD training through an accredit school or company.
- Basic computer skills; proficient with MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language; ability to write in English
- United States citizenship.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to receive approval for access to Department of Defense (DoD) installations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion or working on completion of Associates degree in CAD.
- Experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D; topographic surveys, surfaces, pipe networks, and profiles.
- Experience working with ArcGIS.
- Experience using Bluebeam.
- Applicable internship and/or work experience.
- Preference given to local candidates.
