Position Title:
Lead Preschool Teacher
Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Primary Function
Under the direction of the Site Administrator, the Lead Teacher provides a Spanish-immersion–centered educational program for students. The Lead Teacher is responsible for classroom leadership, instructional planning, supervision of staff and students, and participation in school programs and activities as part of their professional responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the school’s mission and program continuity.

- Supervision Given To: Teaching Assistants and all assigned students
C. Qualifications
- Spanish speaker required, with strong character, judgment, and professionalism.
- Professionally prepared as a teacher of young children in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Must meet all California Community Care Licensing (Title 22) requirements.
- Minimum 12 units in Child Development (required).
- Minimum six (6) months of successful preschool teaching experience under a qualified director.
- Demonstrates maturity, emotional intelligence, and sensitivity in working with children, families, and staff.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and support team members.
- Ability to create a positive, respectful, and collaborative classroom climate.
- Ability to provide stability, consistency, and continuity within the program.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including but not limited to:
- Child development
- Discipline and classroom management
- First Aid / CPR
- Nutrition
- Montessori education
- Special needs and inclusion

- Must attend all staff meetings and school functions.
- Works cooperatively with all staff and supports the school’s philosophy, mission, and administrative policies.
D. Assigned Responsibilities
The Lead Teacher:
- Is responsible for the general supervision and management of a classroom of up to 25 children, ages 3 years through kindergarten age (age requirement by September 1).
- Provides a comprehensive instructional program using the Bambini adopted curriculum, including:
- Spanish Immersion
- Practical Life
- Pre-Language & Language
- Mathematics
- Science
- Geography
- Art

- Integrates instruction with special area teachers as applicable.
- Implements administrative regulations and procedures as outlined in the School Handbook.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that provide meaningful, planned learning experiences.
- Uses direct instruction, individual work, small-group lessons, and collaborative learning to maximize instructional time.
- Utilizes appropriate instructional techniques, strategies, and supplemental materials to adapt curriculum to individual student needs.
- Ensures instructional practices align with the goals and philosophy of Bambini Early Education.
- Provides leadership and direction to Assistant Teachers and classroom staff.
- Maintains a structured, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Models professionalism, calm guidance, and respectful communication at all times.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
