Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CCMA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should possess strong patient service skills, be observant and identify if teammates need assistance, and a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in supporting our providers and ensuring that patients receive the best possible experience during their visits.
Duties
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining accurate patient records by reviewing/ updating patients history: medications, surgical, family, social etc.
- Assist clinical team with reporting codes to reflect preventive care & quality measures are documented and up-to-date for patients.
- Medication prior authorizations
- Requesting records, processing faxed documents to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with refill request, portal messages and phone calls.
- Manage patient flow to ensure efficient operations within the practice.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and concerns with compassion and professionalism.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.
