What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rebar Fabricator position at Bama Steel?
Bama Steel Rebar Fabricators is seeking applicants for our open rebar fabricator positions. Bama Steel is a fabricator and supplier of concrete reinforcement and related supplies. Bama Steel is looking for candidates to operate in a team environment. Experience is not required but would be a plus. Training will be provided for assigned tasks. General description of duties
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape.
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
- Operate overhead crane to move and handle material for fabrication or shipping.
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
- Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work in a safe manner
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must follow all Company rules and guidelines
Physical Demands
- Working conditions can be noisy with hot and cold temperatures
- Some lifting may be required
