Our team works hard to deliver the highest level of service, and support, while staying deeply connected to the communities we serve. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager /Service Advisor to lead our service department and continue building on our culture of excellence.
Position Summary
The Service Manager/ Service Advisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Service Department, managing a team of technicians and support staff, and creating a positive, customer-focused environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for customer service to ensure that Bama RV delivers on its promise of treating every customer like family.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all service department operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Manage workflow, including shop duties, technician scheduling, and work order assignments.
- Monitor and report on department productivity, efficiency, and CSI (customer satisfaction).
- Oversee work orders from diagnosis through quoting, repair, and invoicing/warranty claim submission.
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure work meets dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular service team meetings to discuss safety, training, and communication updates.
- Recruit, train, and develop service department staff while fostering a positive team culture.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, shop cleanliness, and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with the Parts and Sales departments to ensure smooth coordination and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in RV service, automotive, marine, or related industries; at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Effective organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and service scheduling software.
- Technical knowledge of RV systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, chassis, appliances) strongly preferred.
