Role Description The Paralegal will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution in a full-time, on-site role located in Salt Lake City, UT. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and organizing legal documents, drafting correspondence, and maintaining case files and calendars. The Paralegal will conduct factual and legal research, assist with discovery, review medical records and other evidence, and help prepare demand packages and litigation materials. This role also involves communicating with clients, insurance representatives, medical providers, and court personnel to gather information and coordinate case activity. The Paralegal will collaborate with the legal team to ensure deadlines are met, documentation is accurate, and clients receive responsive, supportive service throughout their case.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in personal injury law and civil litigation procedures.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and demand letters.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and court staff.
- Research and document review skills for analyzing statutes, case law, medical records, and other case materials.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Comfort with legal practice management software, document management tools, and standard office applications.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in personal injury or related practice areas preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree in legal studies, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
