The PM Integration & Relationship Management team plays an instrumental role in ensuring that incoming Portfolio Managers and front office talent are seamlessly integrated into the BAM ecosystem. Reporting to the Global Head of PM Integration & Relationship Management, the team serves as the critical bridge between new investment talent and the firm's world-class operational, technology, risk, and business infrastructure.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end onboarding experience for incoming Portfolio Managers and front office hires — acting as the face of BAM's institutional excellence and a trusted advisor throughout their transition. You will work closely with senior leaders across the firm, influence strategic decisions, and help shape the scalable infrastructure that powers BAM's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full onboarding lifecycle for incoming Portfolio Managers and front office hires, from initial engagement through full integration — ensuring a best-in-class experience at every stage
- Partner with senior leaders across investment, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and operations to continuously evolve and scale the onboarding process in line with the firm's growth
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted relationship manager for incoming PMs, proactively managing expectations, resolving issues, and championing their needs across the organization
- Drive transparency and accountability by identifying, escalating, and resolving risks and issues swiftly, keeping all relevant internal stakeholders informed throughout the process
- Maintain and enhance PM Onboarding databases and reporting infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and enabling continuous process improvement
- Support the Business Development team by participating in prospective PM presentations and contributing to onboarding strategy, helping BAM win and retain top investment talent
- Act as a subject matter expert on the onboarding process, providing guidance and best practices to internal teams and contributing to firm-wide initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of experience in a Prime Brokerage, front office onboarding, or closely related role within financial services
- Deep understanding of the full trade lifecycle and experience across multiple asset classes
- Strong financial markets knowledge, including familiarity with equities, fixed income, macro, and/or commodities
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills — you are confident, polished, and highly effective when engaging with senior investment professionals and C-suite stakeholders
- Proven ability to translate complex business problems into practical, scalable solutions, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Outstanding project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences across all levels of the firm
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with the resilience and composure to thrive under pressure
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
New York and California Pay Disclosure Addendum:
With respect to NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between USD 200000 and USD 250000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
