Primary Purpose
This Sr Energy Acquisition Analyst will utilize prior experience to support work for the Community Solar programs, leading and training team members, managing business processes and systems, and help with driving improvements to ensure compliance with Maryland law and Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) governing Community Solar Energy Generating System (CSEGS) interconnection, subscriber enrollment, crediting, and unsubscribed energy management. Oversee design, testing, implementation, and performance of processes and systems to support new legislation and strategic initiatives. Be a key partner to manage Community Solar IT projects, including CC&B and Community Solar Portal enhancements, by defining regulatory requirements and leading user acceptance testing. Represent the Community Solar team on PSC Working Groups and on BGE cross-functional teams for strategic initiatives.
Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
The management of energy, capacity, transmission service and ancillary services purchased and delivered by the Department exceeds $6 billion annually. The processing of collateral requirements associated with credit and mark-to-market activities exceeds $ 2 billion annually. Market design issues affect wholesale procurement methodologies and costs, and retail tariffs, billing and revenues. Daily processes affect short-and long-term load and financial forecasts, real-time operations, and after-the-fact reporting and settlement throughout the Company. Department members continually work with senior members of Customer Operations, Regulatory and External Affairs, Transmission Operations, Finance, Accounting and outside consultants in performing daily responsibilities and supporting strategic initiatives.

Primary Duties
- Serve as key member of the team to support the Community Solar program, managing business processes and systems, and driving improvements to ensure compliance with Maryland law, Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), and BGE’s Community Solar Tariff (Rider 32). Responsibilities include CSEGS application processing, mailbox and helpline support, , capacity/queue management, project activation/PTO support, subscriber enrollment support, CSEGS generation export interval data review, crediting, cancel/rebills, virtual net excess generation management, unsubscribed energy management, and CSEGS reporting. (40%)
- Support the development of new regulations and tariff language. Support all Community Solar filings and PSC hearings. Coordinate with Legal, Green Power Connect (GPC), IT, Customer Operations, Billing, and other internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment. Support engagement of the right stakeholders on NMWG topics and establishing BGE’s position prior to meetings. Support with driving consensus across BGE and collaborate with other Maryland utilities as needed. (30%)
- Serve as a Community Solar stakeholder on IT projects - including CC&B, Community Solar Portal, Reporting, and Bill Print enhancements - by defining regulatory requirements and leading user acceptance testing. support the design, testing, implementation, and documentation of business processes and systems needed to comply with new state laws and regulations impacting Community Solar. Engage SMEs from Billing Services, Pricing & Tariffs, Accounting, Revenue Processing, Credit & Collections, GPC, and other areas as needed. (30%)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and minimum 4-7 years of experience or in lieu of bachelor's degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions and proactively resolve external counterparty issues
- Familiarity with the Maryland/BGE Community Solar program and with Maryland Community Solar legislation and regulations.
- Experience with Community Solar (subscriber energy allocation and crediting) and with the BGE Community Solar Tariff (Rider 32)
- Electric Utility industry experience
- Experience with BGE’s Customer Care & Billing System (CC&B)
- Experience with BGE’s Meter Data Management (MDM) system and/or Retail Office (RTO)
- Experience with IT projects and user acceptance testing as well as writing and/or executing SQL queries
- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $90,400.00/Yr. – $124,300.00/Yr.
