What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Power and Controls Assembler position at Baltimore Aircoil Company - USA?
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is the world’s cooling partner. We engineer sustainable comfort and process cooling solutions for critical environments around the globe.
A Day in This RoleStart your shift by reviewing electrical and mechanical documentation—blueprints, schematics, and technical specs—to plan the build. You’ll route and terminate conductors, install transformers, PLCs, sensors, and switches, and wire up both single-phase and 3-phase systems for motors and motor controls. Throughout the day, you’ll verify your work with electronic test equipment, including logic meters and Hi-Pot/dielectric tests, then collaborate with Team Leaders, Station Leaders, and Material Coordinators to keep production flowing.
As issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot control circuits, assembly fit, and equipment performance, recommending and implementing corrective actions to protect quality and on-time delivery. You’ll flex between stations and lines as needed, uphold Lean Manufacturing practices, complete required system transactions and paperwork accurately, and execute standard processes and KPIs aligned with BAC Excellence (BAC-X), including Global Assembly Standardization (GAS) expectations.
Safety and reliability guide every move: you maintain a clean, orderly workspace; adapt to changing schedules and priorities; recognize when machinery isn’t running well and make adjustments; and help motivate teammates using strong interpersonal skills. Other duties may be assigned by leadership as production needs evolve. You can support any shift and remain responsive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
