Industrial Power and Controls Assembler

Baltimore Aircoil Company - USA
Madera, CA Other
POSTED ON 5/7/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/4/2026
Who We Are

Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is the world’s cooling partner. We engineer sustainable comfort and process cooling solutions for critical environments around the globe.

A Day in This Role

Start your shift by reviewing electrical and mechanical documentation—blueprints, schematics, and technical specs—to plan the build. You’ll route and terminate conductors, install transformers, PLCs, sensors, and switches, and wire up both single-phase and 3-phase systems for motors and motor controls. Throughout the day, you’ll verify your work with electronic test equipment, including logic meters and Hi-Pot/dielectric tests, then collaborate with Team Leaders, Station Leaders, and Material Coordinators to keep production flowing.

As issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot control circuits, assembly fit, and equipment performance, recommending and implementing corrective actions to protect quality and on-time delivery. You’ll flex between stations and lines as needed, uphold Lean Manufacturing practices, complete required system transactions and paperwork accurately, and execute standard processes and KPIs aligned with BAC Excellence (BAC-X), including Global Assembly Standardization (GAS) expectations.

Safety and reliability guide every move: you maintain a clean, orderly workspace; adapt to changing schedules and priorities; recognize when machinery isn’t running well and make adjustments; and help motivate teammates using strong interpersonal skills. Other duties may be assigned by leadership as production needs evolve. You can support any shift and remain responsive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your Background
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
  • 2 years of electrical wiring experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, including motors and motor controls maintenance/troubleshooting.
  • PLC programming exposure desired; Hi-Pot (dielectric) testing experience preferred.
  • Able to work any shift; some travel may be required.
Tools, Standards, and Know‑How
  • Hands-on experience with 3‑phase and single‑phase wiring; 120Vac and 24Vdc control circuits; transformers; PLCs; switches, sensors, and transmitters.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E arc flash safety, including hazard awareness and PPE.
  • Competence using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; safety-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in basic math and the use of tape measures, calipers, squares, protractors, and micrometers.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft).
Certifications and Training
  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash Certification preferred at hire. If not certified at hire, you must obtain certification and demonstrate competency within 90 days of your hire date. Inability to meet this requirement may result in reassignment, downgrade, or removal from the position, subject to business needs and available roles.
  • CPR Training Requirement: Employees exposed to electrical hazards must obtain CPR training in accordance with NFPA 70E and applicable OSHA standards upon assignment and must maintain current CPR certification to meet ongoing emergency response and safety requirements.
How We Work
  • Customer focus and accountability for internal and external satisfaction.
  • Building up teammates—coaching, motivating, and guiding the team to strong outcomes.
  • Embracing change with innovative approaches to tough challenges.
  • Executing with rigor—problem solving, setting ambitious goals, and measuring results to drive improvement.
Working Conditions

The role involves standing and walking for up to 50% of the shift within a construction-like manufacturing environment and around installed HVAC and rotating equipment. You will occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and consistently follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
