Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse management, including inventory control, logistics, process improvement, and team supervision. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination, including freight management, dispatching, fleet oversight, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) partnerships.
- Oversee procurement, purchasing, demand planning, production planning, and materials management to support supply chain objectives.
- Utilize ERP systems like AS400 and supply chain analytics tools to monitor operations performance, analyze data trends, and inform decision-making.
- Maintain strict inventory control through accurate tracking using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by supervising forklift operations, implementing safety protocols, and conducting regular safety audits.
- Prepare budgets related to warehouse operations including cost analysis for transportation management systems (TMS), labor, and materials.
- Foster a high-performance team environment by supervising warehouse staff, providing training on warehouse distribution procedures, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control, procurement, demand planning, and production planning.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience with freight forwarding concepts such as NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements using Lean methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic setting.
- Supervisory experience with a focus on developing teams and ensuring operational excellence.
- Knowledge of logistics regulations related to shipping & receiving, freight management, dispatching, and warehouse distribution.
- Proficiency in using supply chain analytics tools for data-driven decision making.
