Job Overview
Join our team as a Foam Production Operator! In this hands-on role, you'll help produce quality foam products by operating production equipment, loading materials, inspecting finished products, and preparing orders for shipment. You'll work with a variety of production and finishing machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork, and quality are top priorities.
We provide on-the-job training and opportunities to learn new equipment and build your skills.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down production equipment following work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Operate one or more production and finishing machines, including SealX, Holzman, CNC, and other equipment as assigned.
- Load foam sheets by hand or use a forklift to transport foam blocks from inventory and load designated production lines.
- Perform cutting, slicing, gluing, perforating, trimming, and other finishing operations.
- Unload finished products from conveyor systems by hand, inspect for quality, box finished products, and prepare them for shipment.
- Perform quality inspections using tape measures, calipers, depth gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Read and interpret standard and metric measurements. A decimal-to-fraction conversion chart is provided for reference.
- Record production and quality information accurately using computer systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all housekeeping, safety, and PPE requirements.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production, quality, and safety goals.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years of manufacturing, production, or assembly line experience required.
- Forklift experience and certification are preferred but not required. Candidates must be willing to become forklift certified through company-provided training.
- Ability to read standard and metric measurements and use tape measures, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Willingness to work overtime, including frequent Saturdays, based on production needs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may include dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
Schedule
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Frequent Saturday overtime required based on production demands.
Compensation
- Starting pay for 2nd Shift – 2pm: $19.00 per hour
- Starting pay for 3rd Shift – 10pm: $19.50 per hour
A $0.50 rate increase is applied as they successfully complete training and demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation within first 6 months.
Employees are eligible for quarterly bonus program from day 91
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
