About the Position
Your friends at Poppy & Pout, alongside their sister brand Balmsly, are seeking experienced, commission-only Sales Representatives to grow Balmsly’s private label business. This role is vertical-based, not territory-based. Sales Representatives are aligned to the industry where they already have experience, relationships, and credibility. This is an opportunity for independent, self-directed sales professionals who are comfortable owning the full sales cycle and building long-term client relationships. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for people who already know how to sell.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Representatives will be responsible for:
- Prospecting and developing new private label and custom manufacturing opportunities within their assigned vertical
- Managing the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through deal close
- Building and maintaining a qualified sales pipeline
- Educating prospective clients on Balmsly’s private label capabilities, MOQs, pricing structure, and timelines
- Collaborating with internal teams on samples, pricing approvals, and onboarding new clients
- Representing both Balmsly and Poppy & Pout professionally and accurately in all sales conversations
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven sales experience within the vertical you are applying for
- Demonstrated ability to close deals independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a commission-only structure
- Ability to manage your own time, pipeline, and follow-up
- Experience with private label, contract manufacturing, wholesale, or B2B sales strongly preferred
Sales Verticals

Compensation and Growth Opportunity

- This role is structured as an independent contractor position initially
- After six months of a proven track record, high-performing reps may be eligible for:
- A base salary
- Expanded responsibilities
- Equity consideration based on performance milestones
