Position Overview
The Medical Office Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the clinic. This includes patient scheduling, front desk management, insurance verification, billing coordination, and supporting clinical staff with documentation and communication.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a welcoming experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, ensuring a warm and professional experience.
- Manage appointment scheduling and provider calendars.
- Verify insurance and assist with billing and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Support clinical staff with communication, documentation, and patient coordination.
- Order and manage office supplies and maintain an organized front office.
- Help streamline workflows and support operational improvements as the clinic grows.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a medical or behavioral health office setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, billing, and patient account management.
- Proficient in EMR systems and general office software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and medical privacy standards.
