Job Description
A successful Captain is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and overall command of the vessel in addition to the safety of all aboard. The Captain is the supervisor of the vessel and directs the efforts of the crew and must meet and maintain the minimum qualification requirements of the company and all regulatory agencies. The captain must adhere to all USCG regulations and stay current with all required drills & inspections onboard the vessel. Valid 100 Ton Master License required. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities
- The safety of the crew and vessel
- Safe navigation of vessel
- Completion of daily designated advertising routes with precision
- Accurate daily log entries of voyage trips into MaintainX (app based software)
- Accurate log entries of repairs/ maintenance/ and work completed into MaintainX (app based software)
- Basic maintenance of vessel, LED screens (training will be provided), vessels machinery systems, and hull preservation on designated days
- Troubleshooting casualties in order to establish proper repairs
- Must be available outside of regularly scheduled work hours when needed
Qualifications:
- Captains license or relevant experience
- Understanding of marine machinery and led screen maintenance of boat repairs and their execution
- Willingness to learn new technologies
