Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (“Queen”), the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states, one of which will be an additional state that expands Bally’s jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees, and operations that currently include approximately 2,400 slot machines, 50 table games, and 150 hotel rooms to the Bally’s portfolio. Bally’s will also become the successor of Queen’s significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The Role:
As a Server, you will serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Responsibilities:
• Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
• Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
• Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right”
• Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing duties
• Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials
• Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
• Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else
• Participating in area clean up
• Computing customer checks, operates the POS system and accepts payments
• Reporting tips for each shift
• Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards
• Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns
• Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform
• Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas
• Avoiding leaving work area during peak periods
• Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager
• Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have six months or more related experience
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
