Job Summary:
Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader / hands on / oversees the mechanical & electrical repairs / building repairs / basic computer skills / is a family-owned mid- sized wood working facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Currently supervising one full time maintenance technician, machinery operator PM crews and two-night watchmen.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain machinery to good working order.
- Keep buildings in good optimum condition.
- Able to troubleshoot maintenance issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Must be able to keep a clean organized shop.
- Keep maintenance workorder system up to date.
- Have repairs completed in a timely manner.
- Will be incorporating a parts inventory system.
- Recommend machinery improvements and repairs with ROI justification.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with electrical, computer and industrial equipment.
- Comfortable working with 480 V.
- Ability to weld.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Schedule outside contractors, as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Electrical, mechanical, welding, plumping experienced preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at a time.
