Teaching Assistant PE Wood Road (Probationary)

Wood Road Elementary is seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the PE teacher to deliver engaging daily lessons, demonstrate fitness exercises, and instruct students on proper sports skills and equipment use. Responsibilities include managing instructional logistics such as the setup, organization, and breakdown of athletic equipment, as well as adapting activities to accommodate students with diverse learning needs and abilities. The successful candidate will possess a positive, encouraging demeanor and a strong commitment to maintaining an organized, safe, and inclusive learning environment focused on character and sportsmanship.

Minimum Qualifications: NYS Certification: Teaching Assistant Initial with a minimum of 18 college credits

Salary: $25,585/yr. (Salary will vary commensurate with experience, experienced applicants will typically see an increase over base)
