Assistant Deli & Kitchen Trainee

At Balls Food Stores, we bring food and community together through our family of stores-including Hen House, Price Chopper, Payless Discount Foods, and Sun Fresh. From chef-inspired hot bar favorites to ready-to-enjoy meals, we're known for quality, freshness, and an experience that keeps guests coming back.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll gain real experience in both deli service and kitchen operations, including but not limited to:

• Preparing and serving fresh, ready-to-eat foods, including hot bar items and grab-and-go meals
• Learning food safety, sanitation, and proper handling standards (FIFO)
• Keeping products fresh, stocked, and visually appealing
• Supporting inventory, rotation, and minimizing waste
• Delivering friendly, fast, and helpful guest service
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

You'll build skills that set the foundation for a strong career in food service-all while working with a team that takes pride in what they do.
