What are the responsibilities and job description for the Door-to-Door Survey Rep - $22/hr or $2.75/Door | No Sales position at Ballot Access Pros?
One more run before the season ends.
We’re hiring door knockers for projects in OHIO, WISCONSIN, and COLORADO through November 3.
Same basic job. Different pay plans depending on the state.
No matter which interview you schedule, talk to your interviewer about your preferred state and pay plan.
CURRENT PROJECTS & PAY
• OHIO: $2.75 per valid targeted door
• WISCONSIN: $2.75 per valid targeted door
• COLORADO: $22 per valid hour with housing covered
Hourly and per-door pay plans are available depending on the project.
State placement is based on project needs and availability, but tell your interviewer your preference.
THE JOB
The work is straightforward.
• Knock assigned targeted doors.
• Wait at least 60 seconds at each door.
• Nobody home: log it, next house.
• They answer: complete a 3-5 question survey.
• No pitch.
• No close.
• Log your work correctly in the app on-site.
• Work must survive GPS and QA validation.
Same basic job and performance expectations in all three states.
OHIO & WISCONSIN - $2.75 PER DOOR
• $2.75 per valid targeted door.
• Somebody answers? Paid.
• Nobody home? Paid.
• Targeted doors only - not every house like pest.
Valid means: it’s on the list, you did the knock, you stayed 60 seconds, you logged it in the app on-site, and it survives GPS/QA.
WHAT $2.75 PER DOOR LOOKS LIKE
• 150 valid doors: $412.50
• 200 valid doors: $550
• 250 valid doors: $687.50
If you already know how to knock doors, the difference here is you don’t have to sell anything.
Hit 200 valid paid doors and that’s $550 for the day.
COLORADO - $22 PER VALID HOUR
Same job. Same doors. Same expectations.
The difference is that Colorado pays hourly instead of per door.
• $22 per valid hour.
• Housing covered.
• You still knock assigned targeted doors.
• You still wait at least 60 seconds at each door.
• You still complete the survey when somebody answers.
• You still need to hit required door metrics.
• Hours and activity must survive GPS and QA validation.
Hourly does not mean sitting on the clock. You are being paid for valid working hours while actively completing the project.
TRAVEL, HOUSING & RENTALS
Project support depends on the state and pay plan.
• Colorado housing is covered.
• Ohio and Wisconsin travel, hotel, and rental costs can be fronted.
• Fronted expenses are added to your ledger and deducted from earnings until cleared.
• If you leave with an outstanding ledger balance, you still owe that balance.
• Food and personal expenses are on you.
Your interviewer will explain exactly what is covered or fronted for your specific project before you commit.
CARS
• 21 can use a project rental where available.
• Under 21: be prepared to bring your own vehicle.
• Rental eligibility depends on the project and rental policy.
WHO THIS IS FOR
• Solar reps
• Pest reps
• Roofing reps
• Alarm reps
• Appointment setters
• Political knockers
• Experienced canvassers
• People comfortable working outside and moving quickly
If you already know what a real day of knocking feels like, this is straightforward work.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
• People who don’t want to knock doors.
• People expecting to sit on the clock in an hourly position.
• People who think “we cover travel” means a free vacation.
• People who cannot pass a background check.
• People who cannot work a smartphone.
• People who aren’t ready to actually work.
YOU NEED
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Smartphone with data.
• Reliable transportation or eligibility for a project rental where offered.
• Available through November 3.
• Willing to work assigned turf.
• Willing to move when project needs change.
WHICH INTERVIEW SHOULD I BOOK?
Book whichever available interview works for your schedule.
You do not need to find a separate interviewer for each state.

• Your preferred state: Ohio, Wisconsin, or Colorado.
• Whether you prefer per-door or hourly pay.
• Whether you need travel or housing assistance.
• Whether you have your own vehicle.
• Your availability through November 3.
Your interviewer will go over current openings and help determine the best fit.
