Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team to work a 40 hour work week including a rotating call schedule for weekends and evenings. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate patient care across various settings, including home health environments. The RN will utilize their expertise in medical procedures, patient assessment, and documentation to support optimal health outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in diverse clinical skills, and patient education. The RN will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and history taking
- Provide on call service on a rotating schedule as needed evenings and weekends
- Perform wound care as ordered
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records using EMR/EHR systems
- Provide patient education on medication management, disease processes, etc
- Support infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Experience
Candidates should possess a valid RN license with demonstrated experience in various clinical environments. Preferred backgrounds include:
- Home health or outpatient clinic experience involving post-acute or post-surgical patient management
- Applicants should demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology, strong assessment skills, infection control protocols, and working within HIPAA regulations.
