What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Truck Driver/Warehouse position at Ballew's Aluminum Products?
We are looking for someone full time with experience in driving a box truck. The job would include warehouse work as well as delivering orders to customers in multiple states which could require an over night stay in hotel.
Vehicle: Freightliner 36' box truck with automatic transmission.
CDL not required as vehicle has GVW of 26,000lb's.
Tasks and duties will include:
- Carrying out routine vehicle checks
- Loading and unloading aluminum products onto and off of the truck
- Able to lift 60 pounds
- Making sure that the remaining load is correctly placed and is secure after each delivery
- Driving vehicles to their destination and unloading according to customers' requirements
- Collecting payments and signed paperwork
- Exceptional customer service
- Adherence to all DOT regulations, requirements
To successfully secure this opportunity, you must:
- Background check
- Have truck-driving experience
- Pass a pre-employment drug test with random testing as requested
- Must have a clean 10 year driving record
- Current DOT medical card is required
- Be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- Have the ability to follow a delivery schedule
- Have a great attitude and have a strong work ethic
- Willing to travel for 1-2 days at a time. Long-distance driving with multiple drops will be required and the ability to start early in the morning is a must.
